Segregated water fountains prior to the Civil Rights Movement.
Slavery abolished, a job well done.
There will be no further problems.
Blacks are free, and equality will be extended to all.
African Americans are now free to vote, and integrate into white society.
The color of their skin will never again be an issue, because slavery is illegal.
Sojourner Truth will only have to fight for women’s rights, and her femininity is the only thing that will need acknowledgement.
When she opens her shirt, the only thing that will warrant attention are her breasts, not her skin color.
People will only wear hooded cloaks for the purpose of shielding themselves from harsh weather.
They will not wear hooded cloaks to mask their identities on white supremacy outings.
The Thirteenth Amendment will rectify all remnants of social injustice.
There will be no “Dyer Anti-Lynching Bill” because you don’t need to instigate legislation when there’s no lynching problem.
What is lynching?
All people, regardless of race, will be treated with respect.
No one will be called by any sort of derogatory nickname.
White people will not resist equal treatment for blacks, and they certainly won’t draw up laws allowing for separate schools, water fountains, bathrooms, and restaurant sections.
Black people won’t be obligated to sit in the back of the bus.
Sitting in the front of the bus will not land a person of color in jail.
And obviously, black people will be allowed in court rooms and issued their due process by America’s fair and just legal system.
Because this is America after slavery and before 1950.
Mission accomplished!
